Tonight John was rocking John Luke and he fell asleep eating a cookie. This was a pleasant site to me because he has not had more than three bites of food in two days. I gave him a banana cookie hoping that he would have an appetite and eat SOMETHING. Obviously he did like his cookie but just ran out of energy before he finished. He had some in his mouth and was holding on tight to the last little piece!

Latest Pictures of Our "Busy Bee"

Some of his favortite toys are the pots and pans.

He loves "driving" the wheels on his stroller.

Pushing his little first steps truck.
Now, he has pushed it up against the couch and it won't go so he is mad.
"I'll just sit and cry for a minute."
Happy in the sunshine.
This is his monster truck he loves to push around.

"Be My Valentine"

These two boys are most definitely my 2 Valentines. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to honor these two precious "men" in my life. I'm sure John will almost die when he sees this because as you all probably have figured out by now he is very private. Anyway, maybe he will forgive me. As for John... there are so many reasons I love him. I tell him often, but for now I will spare you the time and him the embarrassment. But I will say, he makes it his PRIORITY to be an outstanding daddy and a loving husband. Is he perfect? Of course not. But he is God's perfect gift to me and I sure am thankful God chose to give him to me for my husband!

As for John Luke, he is also a perfect gift from God. Just in a smaller package! John and I both know how blessed we are to have such a precious little boy. I love him more than I ever thought humanly possible. He makes me smile everyday!!!

I have been blessed with two wonderful gifts this Valentine's Day... my husband and my son!!! Happy Valentine's Day!

The Big "1"

Caleb, John Luke's cousin, had his first birthday February 2nd. We celebrated on the 10th. He had a cake all his own which he seemed to enjoy. John Luke on the other hand, did not want anything to do with it. We tried to get him to put his hands in it and help Caleb eat it but he was not interested. They had filled a pinata full of candy and needless to say the older kids loved that! I think Caleb and his friends had a good time on his 1st birthday. Happy Birthday Cousin Caleb!!

9 Month Pictures

I got John Luke's 9 month pictures made this week, and decided to let Amy put them online instead of dragging that proof book around to everyone. I thought it would be a lot easier to just look online. So... I am doing like Ashley and putting the website on here if anyone would like to take a look. The boy does not close his mouth! (you will see what I mean). And the slobber... its like a faucet! Oh well, he is only 9 months old and the time is flying by so quickly I will cherish the wide open mouth along with the slobber!!
The website is: http://www.amynicholsphotography.com/ Click on proofing. The password is "colvin".

This is one of John Luke's favorite past-times - sitting in his daddy's sink. John will put him in the sink when he is getting ready or when they are just hangin' out together. John Luke loves to sit there and look in the mirror and play with the faucet.
Then, he gets his daddy's phone and tries to eat it.

I took these two pictures today when I went to get him out of his bed after his nap. I was walking down the hall and could see his feet sticking out from the side of his crib. He was just sitting there playing with the diaper holder. (That thingy the diapers go in. My mind went blank!)

Newest Addition To Our Family

This beautiful "little one" is Kadence Isabella Martin, or Kady. She is a month old. Stacey was home last week and we went down to Aunt Vickie's to visit. Kady is tiny!! I don't know what it's like to have a baby as small as she is. John Luke weighed more when he was born than what she does now! But, she is perfect and as pretty as can be. She has definitely got Stacey's fingers and toes!!! Very long!! We were happy to see this little bundle of joy. And... as you have already seen, Stacey DOES NOT look like she has had a baby!!!!! Congratulations Stacey and Ron. (And Aunt Vickie and Uncle Larry).
