I have been wanting to get a family picture made for a long time. I am ashamed to say that we have never had our picture made together since John Luke was born until the other day when we did church directory pictures. So I got this brilliant {or not so brilliant} idea to take them down at Open Pond. I thought since the leaves were changing it would be so pretty {and it was} but I guess there was just too much distraction for a little curious 18 month old boy! He did good as long as he wasn't having to stop and "pose" so therefore the family pictures didn't turn out so hot! We did get several sweet ones of him by himself so that made it worth the time. He ofcourse had sores on his nose from having a runny nose for the past, oh I'd say 18 months, and he had scratched himself around his mouth so that's what you will see in the pictures. Typical I guess. That's how it always seems to work! Oh well!! He's still precious!
I have to say a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Dawn for braving this task! Sorry Dawn!!!

I can totally relate with you! The outdoors is a distraction for little boys, but holds the best scenery for pictures. I think the pictures turned out precious! Didn't know John grew a beard. ;)
Dawn did a great job but she also had pretty good subjects. You look more like your mother every time I see you. That is a great thing because your mother is beautiful so you only have good things to look forward to as you grow older!!!
I think the pictures turned out really good, but it is hard when they are this age. We're actually getting ours made Fri. so I feel like we'll experience the same thing!!
Julie,
John grew a beard for his hunting trip to Canada. I am so ready for him to shave!! He says he's ready too. I think it's kinda itchy.
I knew being outside would be harder to get John Luke to pay attention to us, but I love outside pictures. They turn out so much better to me!
Yes this was a very tough job, especially shooting digital with delays when you need to catch pictures with John Luke immediately and on the run!!! Well maybe when he gets a little older he will do better! Glad you found a few you liked Beth!
Love,
Dawn
Really good pictures of y'all. Open Pond is the perfect place for great scenery. It's beautiful down there. As far as the picture taking goes, I've learned you just gotta take what you can get.
I know exactly what you mean about it being a daunting task trying to get pictures of a family with a toddler in the mix! Those are so good, though! I love the one of the three of you leaning out over the water. I'm impressed you even had a wardrobe change! :)
Great pictures Beth. We need to have some family pictures done also. The last one we did Aiden was 2 weeks old and had gas on his tummy. (NOT FUN)
The pictures turned out cute! I love the one of him looking through the tree! And you are too hard on the pictures. I had to really look hard to even see the runny nose sores! I would have never noticed them if you hadn't said anything!!!
Oh yea, our first family pictures were when Gracie turned 2. She actually did pretty good then. Age is definitely a factor!!
Beautiful family pictures! You're so gorgeous!
Thank you Heather! You're so sweet! {And beautiful yourself!!}
GORGEOUS FAMILY! You all look wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing.
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!! I think the pictures are great!!
Thank you Allyson!! You are sweet and beautiful too!
How are you feeling? It's almost time to welcome that precious little boy into the world! I know y'all are excited!
