This Christmas I have been dragging behind on everything! I love to do Christmas cards, and I thought I had gotten a head start on them this year, but it turned out that I was stressing trying to get just the right card, with just the right picture, with just the right pose {What was I thinking? We're working with John Luke here!} But anyway, we got them done {Thanks to Lyndsay!!!!} Here are a few I took trying to figure something out!!!!!!!!!!!!

He looks like a little baby in this one...

Well, we finally have a Christmas tree! It's pretty sad that we are just now putting up the tree with only 10 days left before Christmas!!! I told you I was running behind on everything!!
Our "tree story" usually sounds the same every year. And this year was no exception. After John chopped and chopped and mistreated the poor tree, he finally got it rigged enough to go in the tree stand. {This drama happens every year...John gets sooooo mad at the Christmas tree because it is never the right size or there is always some adjustments that have to be made and it seems that those adjustments are never simple! So he is usually out in the yard for several hours slinging the tree around and mumbling or yelling about how the stupid tree is not going to fit into the stupid tree stand {everything is stupid} and that it is not going to work and we just need to go buy an artificial tree and be DONE with it!!!!!!! I usually just stand at the window and watch, laughing the entire time! He finally will come to the door and say calmly, "Will this work?" And I say, "Yes, let's just get it in here before you have a heartattack!" He is much more calm and easy-going when it comes to the decorating part. So he and I decorated it Sunday night. As I said, finally {thank the Lord}, here is our tree...

And here is a goofy little boy that lives around here making his mama crazy trying to get a picture in front of the Christmas tree!

Merry Christmas Y'all!!!

I am very impressed that you get a real tree. I am artificial all the way!! It looks great though. You don't have to worry about the "perfect" picture for a card. You couldn't make that kid look bad if you tried!! I think all the pics were great!

That is a great tree! The pictures of John Luke in front of it are too funny!! He seems like he is being so silly with you trying to get his picture! Tell John he did a great job working with that stupid tree :) I hope we get to see you when we come down!!

We will excuse your tardiness with the tree! You have a good reason to be running behind! J.L looked like he was being very good and patient in all those poses. He is such a cute little boy! I hope you are feeling better or will start real soon! Your tree looks like it survived the beating! It looks great and I love the smell of a real tree.
Merry Christmas to the Colvin's!

Your tree is pretty and I envy you so with that mantle. You actually have some place to hang those stockings. Jeff and I have never lived in a house that had a mantle. I have to "tackily" hang ours on the wall with a push pin or straight pin. John Luke will be a lot of fun this year. I am sure he will have a ball unwrapping the bazillions of presents I am sure he will get. By the way, love the Yo Gabba Gabba pajamas!!!!!!

Beth,

You had the scene painted perfectly in my mind and I was LAUGING OUT LOUD for sure. In fact, I read it to Jeremy and told him that it sounded like him!! :)

I've TRIED calling you SEVERAL times via linc and house phone and can't seem to get in touch with you. I have clothes when you NEED them--much cuter time to be preggo this go round with all of the cute summer pg clothes-I think!:) Love you!

Forgot to mention that I loved the Christmas card! I thought it was beautiful with sweet JL's little self. I was SOOOOO LATE ordering mine this year and didn't place the order until last night- which made me pay the priority mail fee to get it here on time.

The tree is beautiful! What a funny story with John. You did paint quite a picture for us:) There were several of the pictures of John Luke that would have been great on the Christmas card, but I think you did a good job.

Rebecca,
I don't know who Yo Gabba Gabba is....I just grabbed them off the rack! They kinda looked girly once I put them on him and actually looked! So who is Yo Gabba Gabba?????????

Hi Beth,
I love your christmas tree story and next year when you watch John with the "stupid tree" have a movie camera ready. I would love to see the action...

Beth the tree looks wonderful and that little boy is sooo handsome!!! I've been gonna do a card for the last two years, but when you only have 2 of the 4 every other weekend it's hard.

I think Ben and John are alot alike. I can see Ben Clark doing the same thing with a real tree. We just stick to the artificial tree.

We loved our card. John Luke is such a cute little thing!

That was Micah Garner made over 10 years ago. I could picture exactly what you were saying in my mind. It'll take a few years but eventually he'll figure it out. Micah set the record this year 10 minutes tops! Kelley
