Dance!

Okay, so I don't condone the lifestyle of Ellen DeGeneres, but I couldn't help but watch this clip from her show today. These are the back-up dancers for what was going to be Michael Jackson's last tour "This is it". No matter the opinion on Michael Jackson, I must admit he was the most talented dancer God ever created! And these people are pretty darn good themselves. Oh, How I would love to be able to move like this!!! It just makes me want to jump up and DANCE! How much fun would that be?!?!

The eyebrows...straight from her daddy. My mother says I frowned just like this, I'm not sure about that, but I do know her daddy sure does!!!

John Luke's new favorite seat...perched right on top of the coffee table, right on top of our wedding album. Makes no difference to him what he is eating or drinking. For instance here it is a melting popsicle. Will I ever not care about the mess????

Mickey, Ghosts, Painting, & Sweet Babies...

It has been a busy place around here... but fun kind of busy. I have been trying to be a little more crafty. I love to see all the fun crafts others do, but I never get around to making things myself. (And I'm NOT crafty in the least bit!) I just like to wish I could be! We did get around to making some very cute little ghosts (with lots of help from Grammie Sue). And we painted some pictures along with other things. (You will see in the pics below).

So we made it to the Mickey show. (Or MickMick as John Luke calls him). After a slight delay (I thought all along the show was at the Shakespeare Festival. I was wrong! We get there and we are the only humans in sight except 3 others who were sunning on blankets, and feeding the 10,000 geese that were roaming around. So we go up to the building, all the doors are locked, the lights are off, and we finally see the sign on the front door says CLOSED SUNDAYS. So John goes into official panic mode! (He does NOT handle sudden change or any kinds of bumps in the road very well at all!!!) It is now 1:15, the show starts at 1:30 and we have no idea where to go or how to get there. John grabs the tickets and finds that it is being held at the Montgomery Performing Arts Center. (Don't know why I haven't checked this out already! I guess I just had it so dead-set in my mind it was at the Shakespeare Festival that I had never even read the tickets!) So we go running back to the car, and on the way we stop and ask 2 of the 3 other people where and how to get to the Performing Arts Center. Well ofcourse all they know is that it is downtown! Wow! That helps a lot! Anyway, to keep from typing from now until next week, let's just say we made it. 10 minutes late, but we made it and John Luke seemed to enjoy himself and that's all that matters!

Most of the show he looked like this with his hands in his mouth. Can't imagine why we can't get well around here!!!

3 Months Old

Our sweet baby girl is now 3 months old! She is feeling much, much better! *(Thank you Julie and others for the advice on goat milk. I now think much more highly of goats!) I call her our little goat, because she sometimes actually smells like one! Not the most pleasant smell, but hey, it's worth it!!!) She has slept through the night 3 nights in a row! Hallelujah! She smiles a lot, talks a lot, and loves to be held! She is still just a tiny thing, with long arms and legs. Maybe she will be tall and skinny! She is very aware of her big brother and loves for him to talk to her and love her. When she hears him talking she will turn her head and try to find him. I have a feeling in the next little while they will be best buddies! She has decided that she does not like her carseat, so that makes for some very long rides. But overall she is becoming a pleasant little baby and we are enjoying her! Thankfully!

Tomorrow we are going to the Shakespeare Festival to see Playhouse Disney Live. We are all very excited!

Also, we created some extremely cute little ghosts with lots of help from Grammie Sue. They are totally the sweetest/cutest things ever! I had so much fun! Pictures to come...

But for now... Our sweet baby girl...

Pride...

I heard this poem today in Bible Study...

My Name is Pride

My name is Pride, I am a cheater.
I cheat you of your God-given destiny...
because you demand your own way.
I cheat you of contentment...
because you "deserve better than this."
I cheat you of knowledge...
because you already know it all.
I cheat you of healing..
because you are too full of you to forgive.
I cheat you of holiness...
because you refuse to admit when you are wrong.
I cheat you of vision...
because you'd rather look in the mirror than out a window.
I cheat you of genuine friendship...
because nobody's going to know the real you.
I cheat you of love...
because real romance demands sacrafice.
I cheat you of greatness in heaven...
because you refuse to wash another's feet on earth.
I cheat you of God's glory...
because I convinced you to seek your own.
My name is Pride. I am a cheater.
You like me because you think I'm always looking out for you.
Untrue.
I'm looking to make a fool of you.
God has so much for you, I admit, but don't worry...
If you stick with me you'll never know.

Story Time

Last night, John and I had a little time with our sweet man all by himself. We played tractors and trucks for quite a while, and then John read us a story. John Luke was attentive for approximately 3 minutes. In the 3 minutes, he moved to about 35 different positions!

Goin' Huntin' With Daddy

John Luke was all ready for a hunting trip with daddy...decked out in his camo shirt, boots, Ranger, and even his gun! John said it didn't take him long to figure it all out. He started hollering "Bird, over there!" He was having a ball! I'm with him on this one... bird hunting is fun!!!
