All Things Fall

With Fall quickly approaching, I am getting into the mood for all things FALL! I absolutely love every minute of this wonderful weather {except that it makes my allergies go haywire} but that's okay. It's worth it~ I found a neat project on one of the blogs I have been enjoying and I think I would love to try this. It is different, and I need something "fallish" for my door. We'll see how it goes.
Check out A soft place to land for more details if you're interested.

And we have picked out a Halloween costume for John Luke. He will be sporting around this cute suit. {real scary, huh?!}

Now for a little about my newest book. I have been reading...

As I was reading last night I came across this and wanted to share. I hope it will encourage all you mamas! {and future mamas}
Nancy Leigh DeMoss is describing how her refrigerator is filled with pictures of her friends and their families. This is how she explains one particular section: "In the middle of all the photos, I have placed a bumper sticker you may recall seeing several years ago: "Life: What a Beautiful Choice." These women have chosen life by bearing children {something only a woman can do, I might add}; and they are choosing life every day...
* with every meal they prepare
* with every load of dirty clothes they wash
* with every trip they make to the grocery store, to school, to the dentist, to piano lessons, to soccer practice, or to the shoe store
* with every scraped knee they bandage
* with every encouraging word they speak
* with every night hour they spend rocking a sick or scared child
* with every dispute they arbitrate
* with every moment they spend building Legos, coloring, helping with math problems, reading a Bible story, or listening to a husband or child describe his day
* with every moment they spend interceding{praying} for the spiritual growth and protection of their family.

Day in and day out, they are building a home; they are being life-givers; they are laying a foundation and building a memorial that will outlive them for generations to come; they are honoring their Creator in the greatest possible way."
~Nancy Leigh DeMoss

"It is true that many "perfect jobs" may come and go during the childrearing years, but only one will absolutely never come along again--the job of rearing your own children and allowing them the increasingly rare opportunity to grow up at home."
~Dorothy Patterson

I had to add that this chapter spoke to me very loudly! I get caught up in things daily that do not matter! I lose my temper and say things that are definitely not "ministering grace to the hearers". {Ephesians 4:29} So I am like Paul, "Christ came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the chief." {I Tim. 1:15} He convicts me of this quite often!!!

I love the door thingy! Are you working on making your own today? AND I like your quote! They talked about in our SS class yesterday about how the wife needs to be a nurturer of the home! :) I think those are all good ways of how we do it!

LOVE the decor for the door as well!! I might have to make a trip to Central Wholesale this afternoon and get some things for the house.

Also,Mrs. Librarian, you need to pass those books on to me! :) My time for pleasure reading lately hasn't existed--except for when I read to John Parker. His favorite and latest read is "Little Farmer Joe" and "Snowmen at Christmas". But that is perfectly fine, I wouldn't have it any other way! :)

I was introduced to this book by Cathy Holcomb at First Baptist. I went reluctantly with your mom and Lisa Ballard. I was so convicted from the moment I began to read the first page. Our ladies here have gone through the study also and enjoyed it a ton. Cute costume. Don't ask what Will is going to be!!!

The door dohicky is really very appreciable. Believe in yourself and then success will itself comes to you. You have given a very good description of door in your post. Like this very often such posts are seen but one of such post reminds me of story of success which i have seen at http://www.succcess.org/2008/09/22/misguided-fools-of-logic-or-be-the-bamboo/#comments.

Here is the website to Sam's. Our renewal just came today and I thought about you as soon as I opened the package. I went online to renew and thought about our talk the other day and figured you may be interested in looking at their website. You can at least see if there may be some things on there you might could save on!
Love you!
