John Luke's Christmas program was last Sunday night and as usual our little entertainer made us laugh so hard it hurt! He was way more into dancing, and jumping off the stage, and stomping his feet, and looking around at everyone else than he was into singing! He did hit one note and held it out several more counts than anyone else! It was absolutely precious to us... I'm sure Mrs. Kristen, and Mrs. Heather didn't think his show was quite as funny as we did! Oh well, it was great entertainment to say the least!
Here he is getting ready for his show...he was super excited!
The two cute munchkins I mentioned earlier. We were in John Luke's room this week just hanging out, and he drug his little rocker out and sat down. Then he says "Wanna sit with me, Allie Baby?" "Come on, that'll be fun!" So I sit her up in his lap and she thinks he's right, it is pretty fun. Then John Luke says,"Go get the camera Mama." So here they are...
And, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOHN, a.k.a Daddy!!! (It was actually yesterday, Dec. 23rd, I'm just a little behind!). Anyway, we love you very much! And we are sooooooooo thankful God gave us another year with you to celebrate! You are the absolute BEST!
Merry Christmas y'all! It's here!!

5 Months
Allie Baby was 5 months old on Sunday, December 13th. She is growing, growing, and growing some more!!! She had gained 14 oz. in one week a few weeks ago. She now weighs 12 lbs. 8 oz. I cannot believe how she is packing it on! Her little legs are getting chunky and she is just filling out everywhere. The odd thing is she is still petite looking to me. Anyway, she is rolling from her tummy to her back, and from her back to her tummy like it's nothing! She's got that down! She loves to be talked to, walked around, rocked, or entertained in ANY way! I'd say she's just a tad bit spoiled! Her little attitude is coming out big time. We have said from the beginning that she reminds us of her Mamy, and now with this attitude she is acting just like her Mamy! Still not sleeping much during the day, but she has slept through the night a couple of times. Her big brother is her biggest entertainment, and she LOVES it! And thankfully he loves her just the same!!! She has already got her Daddy wrapped around her finger! BIG TIME!!! We are finally getting a little adjusted to the world of two! It has been a whirlwind! We are thankful for all our blessings!!!

A Whole Bunch of Randomness
Christmas is right around the corner, and I am actually almost done with all my shopping! That is a great accomplishment for me! We are very excited about Christmas this year. I think our little man will be a joy to watch! He is so much fun!
We have been busy as usual! We are ALL extreme homebodies. There is not much I can think of that we love more than being at home together! John Luke is definitely his mama and daddy's child...he says, "John Luke wanna go home, mama. Let's go home and play with my tractor and black Kenworth." The best part about that is he is saying it as we are backing out of the driveway to go wherever it is we are going! That little boy belongs to me for sure! Anyway, we did get out to go to a dove shoot with John. Pa, Heath, and Mamy were there as well, so John Luke had plenty of folks to talk to and run back and forth to and from.
The handsome hunter himself. (I was playing with the camera).
Sunset as we were leaving...
Just another picture of my two sweets...
Most times when I go in ABC's room to get her out of her bed, she is peeking through the bumper pad waiting for me. Just like this...
Peek-a-Boo!
What are you doing, Brother??!
Daddy and his baby girl...
Daddy and his two babies...
These two boys play so well togther! I'm so glad someone can "put up" with John Luke and his roughness!
I think Luke is about to do a cheer ... not sure what John Luke is doing...
still not sure what he is doing...
Okay, Okay! I know that's a lot of pictures of two certain little ones! Sorry, I can't get enough! It's just too, too sweet!
Christmas time is comin' and we are enjoying the season!

Give Thanks With a Grateful Heart!
"Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wonderous works declare." Psalms 75:1
I am thankful...
He died for me and for you.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Jn. 3:16
And then he arose and lives today!!!
"Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: rememeber how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again." Luke 24:5-8
I am thankful...
God gave me this man --as long as we both shall live-- on April 22, 2006.
"For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh." Ephesians 5:31
I am thankful...
He then gave us these two precious lives.
"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them... Psalms 127:3,5
(My mother reminds John that a quiver holds lots of arrows. John says his quiver might be small. We shall see...)
I am thankful for a loving and supportive family...ALL of them!!!
"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." John 13: 34
I am thankful I live in the beautiful south!
"Thou are worthy, O LORD, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Revelation 4:11
I am thankful for good health...
"for I am the LORD that healeth thee." Exodus 15:26
I am thankful that this world is not my home!
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: it it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself: that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:1-3
"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High." Psalms 92:1
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Updates from our homefront
Our sweet little girl is now 4 months old. She is still a little on the fussy side, but I am trying VERY hard to "give thanks in all things". I know I have so, so much to be thankful for! A fussy baby is a blessing considering the alternatives! I'm sorry if you have been one of the ears hearing all the complaints! I promise I am trying to do better!
So for a little update: She weighs 11 lbs.10 oz. (as of a few weeks ago), 24 1/2 inches long. Dr. Baldwin said she looks perfect. She's going to be tall and skinny (maybe so for her sake!) I still thinks she's a peemite~ She is smiling and all out laughing now! It is sooooo funny to hear!!! And her newest trick is rolling over!
Precious! That's all I can say!
This would be our goofball... he keeps us laughing! He is getting absolutely hilarious and too much fun! What did we do for entertainment before he came along?!?!
"Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man." Proverbs 3:3,4
I was reading in a book today that contained the following words:
What pictures will my son remember
when he comes to the plain granite marker
over his father's grave?
What will my daughters remember?
Or my wife?
What pictures will be left behind
for them to thumb through
in the nostalgic, late afternoons
of their lives?
Will the pictures strengthen them for the journey?
Or send them hobbling through life, crippled...
I've resolved to give fewer lectures,
to send fewer platitudes rolling their way
to give less criticism,
to offer fewer opinions.
After all, where does it say that a father
has to voice an opinion on everything?
Or even have an opinion on everything?
From now on, I'll give them pictures they can live by,
pictures that can comfort them,
and keep them warm
in my absence.
Because when I'm gone, there will only be silence.
And memories...
Of all
I could give
to make their lives a little fuller,
a little richer,
a little more prepared
for the journey ahead of them,
nothing compares to the gift of remembrance--
pictures that show they are special
and that they are loved.
Pictures that will be there
when I am not.
Pictures that have within them
a redemption all their own.

It's so hard in my day-to-day life not to get too busy with all the things of the day, and to take the time to give my children, my husband, "pictures" that will last. "Pictures" that will actually mean something to them one day! I hope I will take the time to make those precious memories!!!
