Fervent prayer needed

I have a sweet friend who is in desperate need of your prayer......

this precious angel is one of her babies. Not so much a "baby" anymore, but as precious as they come either way!

and this precious angel is another one.....

she is my babies' bestest friend in all the world! And as sweet as sugar!

and he is my other babies' bestest friend. They love and kiss on each other like it's going out of style!

He is a blonde headed chunk of sugar!

Photobucket

and this is her latest precious angel.....

Precious! Precious! Precious!

That's right....4 precious little ones!

and she has a sweet husband that needs her too.....

Her name is Kristen. She has been having seizures for several months. Instead of getting better, they have progressively gotten worse. After many, many tests, trips to the hospital, stays in ICU, and lots of medication, there is still no answers. She was lifeflighted to UAB Thursday night and put on a ventilator. She has now come off the ventilator but has had at least one other seizure. They are moving her to the epileptic unit so they can better observe and care for her. Please, please, please pray fervently that:::
1. She will stay stable.
2. The doctors can find an answer.
3. She will heal completely.
4. Her husband and family can have peace and rest.
5. Kristen will have peace and comfort.

She is a dear friend. One of the most generous people I know. I am so thankful for her kindness to me and my family and we love them dearly! We know God is in complete control!

"Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."  James 5:16

I {heart} junk stores

I've not always been a bargain shopper, but I guess when the money started coming out of my pocket and not daddy's, things changed;)  Actually I have found that I really enjoy love to find a deal! Especially when it comes to house 'stuff'. Change, change, change for only some change;) I love it!

So here are some of my sweet little finds:::

I've been looking for a "new" kitchen table. I thought I wanted a round one, but after studying the space I have decided a rectangular one will fit well. I like the convenience of the round style, but I needed more seating. My future plan is to build a bench across the back wall. The round would still be fantastic but in order to get one big enough to accommodate more seating I would have to get one too big for the space.

Photobucket

So......the best part of this story is I sold my old table and found one to replace it all within 24 hours! I listed it on Facebook through Enterprise Alabama-Buy, Sell, and Trade and had a buyer within 3 hours! Amazing! It gets better.....the next day, I stopped in at one of my favorite "junk stores" and just as I walked in the door, there it was! A table with 6 chairs, the exact shape, size and color I wanted!!!  And.....I talked her into selling it to me for the same price I had sold my old one:))

Photobucket

Now I'm on the bargain hunt for a rug to go under, maybe replace the two end chairs with parsons chairs, recover the seats and we're all set.

While I was there I had to browse a little.  And around the corner I found this....

Photobucket

My plans for him were to be painted black, add a seat cushion and sit him at the end of my bed. Now that he's here, I'm debating on using him in the laundry room, playroom, or one of the kid's rooms.

For now, he's used as a fantastic hiding spot....

Photobucket

This....

Photobucket

and this....

Photobucket

were both found at the same "junk store" on other trips.

This old guy was found there as well......

Photobucket

When I bought him the plans were to recover. He has grown on me as is.

This dude was found at a childrens clothing/home consignment sale. It was heaven! Children's clothes for a bargain and home decor all in one! Makes my heart sing:)

Photobucket

This sweet little lamp was also found at the consignment sale......

Photobucket

and this bookshelf....

Photobucket

Do you know what is even better than a bargain? A gift:) And I have some pretty generous friends and family.

My dear friend who loves "old junk" and great deals as much as I do,  gave me this precious little desk.

There's a story behind this desk. The top part was once built to be a bread box. Then she added the legs to it. She was ready to get rid of it and passed it along to me.

Photobucket

It's the perfect size to fit in the kitchen for a precious little boy....and girl.

The desk chair was also a "junk store" find.

These two book shelves were given to me by my sweet neighbor. We put a few coates of black paint, and Wa-lah....perfect.

Photobucket
You can never have too many bookshelves or lamps. That's my philosophy.

This chest-of-drawers was John's when he was a child. After a quick paint job, it's been mighty handy to have around.

Photobucket

The vase on top was a consignment sale find. The picture above it was found at a "junk store."

This bed has a twin but we haven't moved it in just yet. They were given to me by my grandmother and belonged to my great aunt and uncle.  A fresh coat of paint made all the difference.

When Miss Priss moves out of her baby bed, we'll move in the match. I predict lots of nights with big brother in one and sister in the other:)

Photobucket

The canvas paintings were done by my talented and precious friend. Aren't they perfect?

Photobucket

This iron table and chairs were also a gift from the same friend who gave me the "bread box desk". She's the best!

All we need now is some grass!

Photobucket

He definitely was not found at the "junk store" but he is a gift. A precious gift from my Jesus!

Photobucket

Do y'all love a bargain as much as me?
