Projects for 2012

Looking around in the shed, John says, "Well John Luke, there's a bed and a table.  I give it a week before your mama paints em' and I'll bet she paints em' white."

I can't stop!

I think I have a condition.  Not sure what it's called.  I love to move things around.  Change things out.  Throw things away. It gives me a sense of accomplishment.  And I love to paint everything I can get my hands on.  Krylon spray paint is my new best friend.  And he's right, I'm on a white kick right now.

Therefore I have made a New Year's Project List:::  After I wrote it out, I wondered if we should just tear the walls down and start over.  But after thinking about that thought for approximately .5 seconds, I decided on a big fat no! I'll stick to the project list and we'll do it a little at the time and I'll save my sanity and my marriage :-)

So here we go:::

1.) Update hall bathroom {paint the walls, new vanity, sink, faucet, toilet, and shower curtain.}

2.) Replace kitchen floors.

3.) Replace light fixture about kitchen table.

4.) Paint living room, hallway, playroom.

5.) Add built-ins around mantel and T.V.

6.) Paint Allie Beth's other bed and night stand and set it up.

7.) Clean out playroom and add more shelving.

8.) Replace curtain rods in John Luke's room.

9.) Hang pictures, etc. in John Luke's room.

10.) Tear out all the front flower beds and re-do.

11.) Sod the bare spots in the backyard.

12.) Finish painting the exterior of the house.

13.) Brick new back steps.

14.) Paint exterior and interior doors.

15.) Add white subway tile backsplash in kitchen.

16.) Replace kitchen sink and faucet.

Okay, so now that I'm a bit overwhelmed and going stir crazy to get started, I'll go wash some clothes and pray for patience and volunteer helpers.

Peace out~

Your list makes me tired! Knowing you, you will get it done. I really have been blessed by your last few posts. I'm so thankful for you and your desire to serve your savior. Love, Mama

You will accomplish more than you thought, and the more may not even be on your list yet! I write my to-do list every year, and despite changes, I am always amazed at how much I got done! GO BETH!

Great list! I only put a few things on my blog, but the list gets bigger by the minute! Just today, I was going room to room cleaning up and all the while thinking, "Hmm, I could do this here. I need that for there!" haha

I seem to recall you getting me out of a few pinches as well when I was getting the day care up and running. I guess if I lived closer I would have to pay you back too. Huh? Love you!
